B.V.K. College established by Bharteeya Vidya Kendram in 1980, created history in Visakhapatnam city by achieving remarkable progress and setting up high standards in the field of education.

it has earned a unique and commendable academic glory in the city not only by maintaining high standards in teaching with the latest techniques available, but also by providing guest lecturers, conducting seminars and workshops involving eminent scholars including Various teachers from all the parts of our country.

The College carved a niche in the annals of educational institutions in Visakhapatnam by taking care of all round development of students by providing every opportunity in the fields of games and sports extracurricular, co-curricular activities and yoga etc A number of students of B.V.K College have been representing our college in various competition of University and inter university level winning number of prizes in many prestigious tournaments On completion of Twenty Five years of value based education of the youth of Visakhapatnam, we conducted the Silver Jubilee celebrations during 2005 - 2006 Prof.K.C.Reddy. Chairman, A P. State Council of Higher Education was the chief guest, for the innugral function, while Prof.V.R.Panchmukhi Chancellor, Rashtriya Sanskrit vidyapeeth, Tirupati, addressed the assembly. Prof.L.Venigopal Reddy, Vice Chancellor, Andhra University greeted the valedictory function during the celebrations. Several dignitaries were invited to take part in different activities organized by us. We did not limit ourselves to celebrations alone; we inspired the local people through where is service oriented activities creating an awareness in social - health, cultural, political and environmental fields . AIDS awareness program, Blood donation camp, Coastal clean-up program on international coastal clean day, Corona health camps.

in the year 2014, after the destruction by cyclone Hud-Hud, our Management activitily conducted a service camp with the help of NSS volunteers and staff and supplied necessities for daily needs for a period of one week in and around the area

We have also hosted SGFI( We have hosted National games SGFI (school;games federation of India) for basketball in the year 2014
